Sync & Backup Tools (freeware)

Posted on 2:41 PM by Unknown

just because I’m getting a bit tired moving these link-logs down the river…these are some new and oldies but goodies…for reference purposes.

  • SyncToy 2.1 Update Speeds Up Windows File Syncing - File Transfer - Lifehacker.
  • DSYNCHRONIZE - (freeware) –Dimio’s Tools.  My personal favorite.
  • Toucan - PortableApps.com
  • Cobian Backup - (freeware) – now at version 9.
  • Personal-Backup - (freeware) – by J. Rathlev.
  • Karen’s Replicator - (freeware)
  • Synkron - Folder synchronisation - (freeware).
  • Comodo Backup - (freeware).  See the Comodo BackUp User Guide (PDF) first.
  • GFI Backup Home Edition - (freeware).
  • FreeFileSync - (freeware) - SourceForge.net.
  • RichCopy bulk file copy tool - (freeware) – Not the fastest, but it is very dependable and has good progress indicators.
  • Roadkil’s Unstoppable Copier - (freeware) – Another Valca top-rated Go-To application.
  • SuperCopier - (freeware) – Back in a newer version with BETA status.  I’ve had mixed results but the original one did so well I remain hopeful.  Last update per the downloads page is 08-2009.  This one adds support for Win7 and all x64 bit flavors of Windows. Nice.
  • File Managers, Copiers, and Sync Utilities – Grand Stream Dreams – a few more apps as well…
